Dr Arunaz Kumar
Consultant and educator in Melbourne, with a PhD in inter-professional education.
Hands-on simulation training that prepares local healthcare teams for childbirth emergencies — in Australia and across Asia, Africa and the Pacific.
ONE-Sim was founded and is spearheaded by Dr Arunaz Kumar and Dr Atul Malhotra, who have run the program since 2016 with workshops now operating across Asia, Africa and the Pacific.
ONE-Sim gives local healthcare professionals — doctors, nurses, midwives and students — hands-on education in complex childbirth and newborn care, using simple, portable simulation technology.
Through "Train the Trainer" workshops, we empower local staff to keep teaching within their own workplaces. The program is fully funded by philanthropic grants and community support.
Meet the team →We run ONE-Sim courses in Melbourne and online for high-income countries, and free workshops across low- and middle-income regions.
ONE-Sim's global health work is funded entirely by philanthropic grants and community support. Your gift trains the people who are there when seconds matter.
